Alki David sued CBS Interactive

Alki David’s assault on the media giants appears partly based on the apparent hypocrisy of companies like CBS trying to falsely brand Filmon as an illegal Live TV service. At the same time, Alki David’s lawsuit and onslought of truth and justice claims that CNET was allegedly, vicariously guilty of copyright infringement and material contribution to copyright infringement. According to the court ruling, a judge has dismissed these two charges but one charge she will allow to continue. Alki David is happy that the charge of inducement is still being pursued. “Defendants here are alleged to have distributed specific P2P software, while simultaneously providing explicit commentary on that software’s effectiveness in infringing copyright. Such behavior moves beyond opinion into the realm of conduct and does not directly implicate any First Amendment issues,” writes Judge Dale Fischer. The defendants in the case seemed focused on the good news of the two dismissed claims instead of on the one that remained.

Alki David assails the task of explaining with explosive force his determination to drive the point home. After he explains the risk to national security it is easy to see he is a good man fighting for the people and justice.

The Alki David assault on the media world continues with the news of a 5 million dollar investment.

One of the reasons for the investment could be the fact that Quickflix has recently trimmed the fat. New restructuring tactics have saved the company two million dollars a year by reducing staff. The Alki David assault is aimed at expanding his holdings in the IPTV arena. He has leased the use of television properties to the extent his content from Filmon and Battlecam are now on cable TV 24 hours a day as a must carry channel. He appears to be an unstoppable force despite the events that sometimes get Alki David sued. Pushing the envelope and dislodging the entrenched in any market place can be a bumpy ride but shares of Quickflix seemed to approve with his plans. The shares jumped 42.1 percent according to the Shockya News Source.

As the founder and CEO, Stephen Langsford actually said he was delighted and generally spoke about his praise for international investors that have the vision to see growth in this sector and especially this region. According to xmedialab.com, Stephen is Founder and Executive Chairman of Quickflix Limited.  His company is the top online movie subscription business listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The symbol is (ASX:QFX). He is also on the board of ScreenWest. It is a TV funding agency for Western Australian Government films.

Now…Biff…Bam…Whoosh… here comes “The Avengers,” and glad someone got back to whatever magic that gets superheros to please us on screen. Joss Whedon’s interpretation in regards to this collection of Marvel characters is about as nicely done as a superhero movie can get. It’s bursting with creativity and packed with clever dialogue. It is directed with comic fanatic exuberance and teeming with legendary comic-book icons such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Nick Fury.

Eva Mendez with white Prada Flap Purse

Eva is often seen around Hollywood with her Prada purse. I don’t know exactly if she just buys them from the store on Rodeo Dr. or South Coast Plaza but she should get them for free because she gets seen in photo like these for us all to talk about. Who else could you get to look better carring you bag. If I were Prada I would thank her at least. Eva Mendez was most recently seen using her white Prada bag from this seasons collection as she shopped at whole foods in West Hollywood, CA.

This looks thrown together for a casual trip to the grocery store but the perfect match of the soft irory purse and the casual tied shirt make it look like a planned outfir especially with the understated but fancy flower skirt with ivory accents.

She seems to stick with the Prada brand quite a bit as she has been seen in a Red Prada bag often. I don’t see the red one on the Prada site because it is an old photo and so now the bag is not available but the Ivory Flap Bag is still on the Prada website as of May 2, 2012. If you like what you see then you better hurry on down to the Prada shop in Beverly Hills. I think now that these photos are out there may be a rush on them.

Movie star Charlize Theron turned heads and posed for photos as she arrived. Charlize Theron attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner like so many Hollywood Stars from our favorite films. The White House Dinner was on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Washington, D.C. This was a red carpet as well as dinner and a show for the invited guests.

Charlize Theron is the star of the new movie Snow White and the Huntsman wore a glamorous full-length dress by Emilio Pucci. It was overlaid with black lace and had a beige fabric underneath, which made this dress almost out shine the star wearing it to a conservative town. The style hugged her silver screen body and was racy but street legal. The back of the dress was daring and showed off some skin. Her jewelry choice included some diamond stud earrings, and she also carried a clutch by Judith Leiber on the red carpet.

Theron’s makeup choice was very simple and natural for the evening. She had on a smoky eye color under the brows with just a touch of lighter color around the inner lid. Her long lashes stood out with a small amount of black mascara, and with a little color on her cheeks and a medium pink color on her lips, she was ready for the night.

The 36-year-old wore her hair up in a tight, messy bun that was held in place with a few pins. Her choice of a simple hairstyle and minimal makeup along with the dramatic dress were a perfect fit for her. They say you can only have one focal point and that was the dress. Or perhaps just being a new mom to her adopted son, Jackson, brings a special glow to Charlize Theron.
